Craig Sydorenko- CPGA Head Professional

After one year as the Associate Professional at St. Andrew’s along with a tenure as Associate Professional at the Oshawa Golf & Country Club under Hal Butler, Craig Sydorenko was given the opportunity to take on the Head Professional position at St. Andrew’s in 1991. Nineteen years later the Club has been enriched by his consistent dedication to both the position and all the needs of our Membership. What stands out most to me is his uncanny ability to hire excellent staff and Assistant Professionals. This is borne out by the success of those Assistants who are now Head Professionals throughout the Province. His training of these young men has played a large part in their moving on and up. As most of the Membership knows by now Craig prides himself in giving full attention to Members and their Guests each and every day. We are fortunate to have had him for his entire Head Professional career.
Richard Butler- Head Greens Superintendant

Soon after start up, hiring key staff became our top priority beginning with Richard Butler, our Course Superintendant. I was fortunate to have met Richard at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club in Sudbury, Ontario, where he had been made Head Greens Superintendant at the early age of twenty-three. Upon receiving his resume and recommendations from many respected industry leaders, I hired Richard to come on board during construction and fortunately for us has been responsible for much of our success to date. Richard is a true student of the game who aims to please everyone that steps foot onto the property of St. Andrew's East and his continued dedication has led us to the faciilty that we enjoy today.
Ken Bourassa- Executive Chef

Ken Bourassa applied to become St. Andrew’s first ever Executive Chef at the early age of twenty-six. Previous experience included a few years as Assistant Chef at York Downs, followed by the position of Head Chef at The Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club. Again, Ken’s reputation at both Clubs was nothing but outstanding for one so young. After explaining what would be expected of him, Ken had only one question he needed answered by us and that was if he were to work for us would we allow him to use only the best quality ingredients in the preparation of his meals. Not only did we answer yes but we sealed the deal. Twenty-two years later, St. Andrew’s reputation for fine dining is known throughout the industry.
Hanne Rossitter- Office Manager

In the early years we enjoyed the efforts of Joe Hill as our Office Manager. After nine years of service, Joe moved onto starting a financial investment company which he continues to operate to this day.
Hanne Rossitter seamlessly moved into the role of managing the affairs of the Club for the following twelve years. Hanne brings with her not only a high level of accounting skills, but the ability to keep myself, staff and members in line. Hanne makes everyone’s day just a little better. If there is an art in collecting money, Hanne is undoubtedly a Rembrandt. Sure, she’s an accountant first and foremost, but what a smile. I can honestly say that I would probably not be here to-day without her efforts and patience with me.
